About the Craigsville Public Service District in Craigsville, WV

About CPSD

The Nicholas County Commission created the Craigsville Public Service District in 1959 to provide water to the Craigsville community. The CPSD Wastewater Treatment Plant was built in the 1980s.

Our mission is to provide our current customers with the highest-quality water and sewer service and to extend these services to new customers in the area.

CPSD is a not-for-profit corporation. We have received funding through the years from various sources such as the West Virgina Water Development Authority (WDA), the West Virginia Infrastructure & Jobs Development Council (WVIJDC) and the US Department of Agriculture Rural Utilities Service. We have also borrowed funds from local banks.
